MAYO

MAYO
MAYO
hand woven 100% poll merino hand dyed scarf
Mayo is a unique scarf with spaces to thread the ends of the scarf through, creating a scarf that stays in place without having to tie it!
The weft is dyed before weaving, creating a truly unique weave each time, then the ends and middle sections are lightly felted.
A chance meeting at a market introduced me to the Michael family of Leahcim, a sheep farm in South Australia. They have Poll Merino sheep that they have breed to produce sustainable, soft, white wool thanks to advanced breeding technology.
Their wool is some of the softest, squishiest wool I have ever touched - super super fine merino with no prickle itch factor!
Leahcim are proud to share their beautiful, sustainable, ethically grown wool that come from “Farm to Yarn to You” and I am proud to share these 100% Australian made scarves - grown, processed and woven in South Australia and Victoria!
