Make an investment in slow fashion - heirloom pieces, created to last a lifetime
My passion is creating one-of-a-kind hand woven textiles using heritage craft techniques. Each piece is handmade by me, in my studio in Melbourne, so every one is unique. I use natural fibres – wool, cotton and silk – to create unique pieces that are made to last a lifetime.
I have three looms; each one is different and appropriate for creating pieces of varying size and complexity. As a big wearer of scarves, they remain my major focus and my most popular product. I continue to explore new styles and techniques, including hand dyeing.

Hand woven textiles are a labour in time and love. Each piece requires extensive prep work – colour and pattern design, warp winding and dressing the loom – before I can actually begin weaving. This prep work requires lots of planning and maths to calculate lengths and thread counts. I was recently inspired by this mathematical aspect to create a pattern based on the Fibonacci sequence – one of my Fibonacci pieces won a prize at the 2015 Royal Melbourne Show.
A trip to India after completing my degree in textile design was hugely inspirational – seeing the beautiful hand woven textiles being created increased my passion for the field. In addition to seasonal ranges inspired by a chosen fibre or pattern, I love creating custom pieces.
